Welcome TO TBS!

Thanks for taking the time to look at the Temple Baptist School website. We're so glad you have visited us. Our school exists to serve families of Temple Baptist Church and other families who want a school that has a unique atmosphere that combines warmth, rigor, order, fun, and faith.  We generally have 230-240 students enrolled from grades K3 through 12th grade.

Our mission is to prepare our students academically and spiritually for a life of service to Jesus Christ.

What does that mean?

Temple emphasizes solid academics and an orderly, disciplined environment. And, of course, we teach from a distinctively Christian perspective. That is, we encourage students to follow the Bible, God's Word, as their reference point for moral values and character development. We also take the view that fine arts are an important part of the development of each student.

Our philosophy is that although the curriculum is important, the teacher makes the difference. To that end we look for caring, Godly, and competent teachers. Our teachers daily demonstrate that their teaching is ministry-oriented; it's not just a job, it's a calling. We're especially thankful for our caring staff.  They work hard to make our school special.

TBS has a wonderful atmosphere where teachers and students are respected. We're diverse; our student population comes from countries all over the world. And despite our "old school" penchant for order, we love to have fun and believe students should look forward to coming to school.

We are unique in that we are surprisingly affordable and we work hard to remain so. Because our school is a ministry of Temple Baptist Church, we are able to offer a great education for a very reasonable cost. If you'd like to learn more about our school, you ought to visit us. Just call our office at 703-437-7400 and  set up a tour to see TBS for yourself.

TBS is accredited by the North American Christian School Accrediting Agency (NACSAA) and by the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS). Our school appears on the Virginia Council of Private Education (VCPE) website under NACSAA accredited schools. As part of our AACS membership, we are also members with the Old Dominion Association of Church Schools (ODACS), primarily for academic, Bible, and fine arts competition.
