Notice of Religious Exemption from Licensure
Pursuant to Code of Virginia § 22.1-289.031, child day centers operated by religious institutions may qualify for an exemption from state licensure by meeting the documentation and operational requirements established under Virginia’s religious exemption law. In accordance with Code of Virginia § 22.1-289.031, Temple Baptist Pre-School and Daycare Program is exempt from licensure and is classified as a religiously exempt child day center.
Temple Baptist Pre-School and Daycare Program is a ministry of Temple Baptist Church. As a religiously exempt program, it operates without licensure from the Commonwealth of Virginia. Documentation of staff qualifications is maintained by the program and is available for review in the school office.

Staff Health Requirements
All staff members are required to maintain annual health examinations and must be free of any disability that would prevent them from providing appropriate care and supervision to children. Documentation verifying compliance is maintained on file at Temple Baptist School.

Temple Baptist Church maintains public liability insurance coverage for the preschool and daycare program.
