Miss Laura Adams
Third Grade Teacher
Our third grade teacher is a graduate of TBS. So it's pretty wonderful -- not to mention "cool" -- to have one of our own TBS graduates in the classroom. Miss Adams hails from Haymarket, but she has several years experience teaching in a Christian school in the Memphis area. You might notice, she has a frog-themed classroom (just a tad) and the students love it. She is a creative, organized, and compassionate teacher. She is also the Elementary Supervisor at TBS and is a genius at putting schedules together.
Miss Joy Bowman
Miss Bowman is a loving, soft-spoken teacher. She attended Crown College in Knoxville, Tennessee and received a master's from West Coast Baptist Bible College in Lancaster, California. Her roots, however, are in the great state of Alabama and that means, we have another Alabama football fan to contend with - Roll Tide! Her personality is perfect for our K5 students.
Mrs. Carrie Dailey
Originally, we hired Mrs. Dailey for handbells, but she's a great teacher, so her role at our school expanded to full time. With a degree in Spanish Education, she is teaching high school Spanish classes. She also teaches computers to upper elementary. One cool thing: the first year that she took over handbells, the handbell choir went to state competition and on to national competition. Mrs. Dailey teaches piano as well.
Miss Rebeckah Finley
Miss Finley is a native northern Virginian. She obtained her education at Pensacola Christian College. In her seven years there, she completed three degrees, two undergrad degrees in Elementary Education and Music Performance, and a Master's of Secondary Education. She has always loved school and considers herself to be a professional student because of all her years of attending school. Her love of school most likely stems from her desire to be a teacher since she was four. Mis Finley remains excited to teach and train her students to have the skills both to succeed in school and to serve God. Another fact: Miss Finely is an accomplished musician and excels on the violin. Her email address: email@example.com
Miss Victoria Grant
High School English Teacher
Miss Grant joined our staff in the summer of 2014. She hails from the Windy City (Chicago, of course). When we found her, she working as a Graduate Assistant, teaching at Pensacola Christian College. From a young age, she preferred books over TV. We're excited to have Miss Grant on board to help our high school students get ready for college. One thing is for sure: she already knows what colleges expect! Miss Grant received her Master's Degree and hopes to earn another. She teaches English and Speech. Miss Grant is well-liked by her students. And, yes, she is working on ANOTHER post-graduate degree.
Mr. Brian Gustafson
High School Math, Chair, HS Supervisor
Affectionately dubbed "Mr. G." by the students, Mr. Gustafson is our resident math guru. He loves to use math to make his students think. From calculus to pre-algebra, Mr. G's niche is getting students to understand -- and excel in-- math. He also enjoys incorporating Scriptural principles in his math lessons. He is also our high school supervisor. During his free time, Mr. G can be found biking and hiking with the Gustafson's three children or working on home projects. Mr. G. was born and raised in Ohio. You can reach our math man at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Mrs. Risha Gustafson
It takes a special person to teach three year olds and the good news is we have this uniquely qualified person. Mrs. Gustafson handles our smallest students with grace, patience, and kindness. Not too many K3 teachers have a master's degree, but Mrs. G does. She's also a talented musician and mother of three. Where did she grow up, you wonder? Japan. We're just glad she does such a great job taking care of our smallest students.
Mrs. G can be contacted at email@example.com.
Miss Andrea Lines
Fourth grade teacher/Elementary ODACS coordinator/Elementary Bible Quiz
Miss Lines seems to live and breathe 'school,' which is probably the result of growing up in the home of teachers. She's known for her perky, upbeat personality and work ethic. She puts her whole heart and soul into her work; it shows. We appreciate her devotion to fine art competition. Contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Mrs. Bonita Lawrence
Mrs. Lawrence is the wife of Pastor Branden (assistant pastor - music). Mrs. Lawrence grew up in Senegal and the Congo, so she gets an A for language ability. The Lawrence's started the TBC Spanish Church before Brother Branden became TBC's music pastor. Mrs. Lawrence role has expanded over the years from Spanish teacher/Girls PE to now her true love: FIrst Grade. We are very glad to have her on board full time, even though she's been on board all along and all the students know her! Mrs. Lawrence was the 2017 Teacher of the Year.
Mrs. Claudia Key
We've moved Mrs. Key to a classroom this year and no wonder - she's very experienced, having taught K4 for many years. We're pumped that we finally have placed her in the right position at TBS. She is patient, kind, and is able to get kids to learn. And she's an excellent piano teacher.
Mr. Lance Listh
Mr. Listh has two master's degrees: one in science education and another in Biblical exposition. At one point he was our science teacher, but now is our vice principal. Known for a cheery (and sometimes wacky) disposition, Mr. Listh is beloved by students, parents, and faculty alike. He loves to spend time with his wife and his two children.
Mr. Jonathan Monczewski
Mr. Monczewski, an alumnus of TBS (which is totally cool), Mr. Monczewski conducts the HS choirs, orchestra, and will be organizing a strings program for TBS. We're thankful for him and for his family's impact on TBS. It's great to have our own graduates return to serve the Lord with us at TBS. Mr. Mon. is quite the violinist and soccer player and is combines music ability with athleticism, a rare combo. He is in charge of all things music at TBS. He's close to completing his Masters at Pensacola Christian College.
Mrs. Robin Monczewski
Ta da!!!! The perpetually cheerful and easy-going Mrs. Monczewski is an elementary favorite. She leads our elementary choirs and teaches flute lessons. In addition to her musicial talents, which are immense, she loves to bike. The Monczewski family contributes a great deal to the music of Temple Baptist Church and School, and we are grateful for their ministry. The Mon's are huge soccer fans. Mrs. Monczewski is at email@example.com.
Mrs. Tiffany Monczewski
High School Science Teacher
The fun-loving and upbeat Mrs. Monczewski graduated from Pensacola Christian College with her master's in science education. She is originally from Arizona. This is her fourth year at TBS. She married our music director on June 11, 2016. Students love her. That's all we need to say!
Miss Kendry Norales
Sixth Grade teacher
Miss Norales is from Texas, but her family hails from Honduras. She loves teaching - and it shows. Miss Norales is quite the hit with our sixth graders. She is one of the first teachers to arrive at school each day.
Mrs. Sarah Rediger
Fifth grade teacher
We're excited to have the creative Mrs. Sarah Rediger on our elementary staff. She brings not only her education degree from Bob Jones University, but also 11 years of teaching experience. She's been a TBS mom for years and now she's on staff. Pretty cool.
Miss Anna Stockman
Parents love Miss Stockman and it's no wonder why. She's just a wonderful teacher. She grew up in Nairobi, Kenya and brings a unique international perspective to the class. We appreciate her love for her students, her quiet spirit, and her godly example. No wonder parents love her. By the way, so do the students! She has taught third grade, but she's moved to K4. We know one thing: they will love her and so will parents. Guaranteed. Miss Stockman's e-mail address is: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Miss Candice Turner
Second grade teacher
We receive positive parent reviews from Miss Turner. She's the soul of patience and devoted to her students. She completed her graduate degree in elementary education in the summer of 2011. We appreciate her 'can-do' spirit. She's a gem. Not too many teachers of our teachers grew up in Virginia, but Miss Turner did.
Write her at: email@example.com.
Miss Sarah Skutt
High School HIstory, Speech and Girls PE
Miss Skutt grew up in Temple Baptist Church. She is a lover of history and well, that's what she focused on in attaining her Masters in Education. She is excited to be back in Virginia teaching at Temple. We are thrilled to have her on staff. She is teaching history, speech, and girls PE.
Mrs. Samantha Sipes
